NOTIFICATION F.No. 2/4/2007-Services /2562 :- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 20 (1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974) read with Notification No. S.O. 183 (E) dated 20th March, 1974 of the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi, the Administrator, Union Territory of Lakshadweep is pleased to appoint Shri. A.E. Mohammed Naseem, Assistant Engineer, LPWD, Minicoy as Executive Magistrate with jurisdiction in the Island of Minicoy and Islets around the Minicoy Island. He will exercise all or any of the powers exercisable by an Executive Magistrate under the said code. The Administrator is also pleased to specially empower him to exercise the powers specified under section 107, 108, 109, 110, 133, 143, 144, 174 & 176 of the said code. The Notification shall have effect from the date on which the officer takes over charge as Deputy Collector, Minicoy and remains till such period the officer holds the charge of Deputy Collector, Minicoy.
