Maharashtra Flood Situation :- As per situation report received from SEOC, Maharashtra, due to heavy rainfall 10 districts namely Ratnagiri, Raigad, Kolhapur, Thane, Sangli, Satara, Sindhudurg, Pune, Wardha and Mumbai Suburban are affected. Search and rescue operation are continue going on by NDRF, SDRF and local administration. Brief about the current flood situation in Maharashtra is at- Annexure-I. 4. Karnataka Flood Situation:- Parts of Coastal, Malnad and North Interior Karnataka (Uttara Kannada, Shivamogga, Belagavi, Haveri, Chikkamagaluru, Dharwad, Gadag, Bagalkot, Kodagu & Davanagere districts) recorded widespread very heavy to extremely heavy rain on 22nd July 2021. In the past 24 hours 2 mm, light to moderate rainfall has been recorded in Coastal, Malnad and parts of North Interior Karnataka. Certain villages along the river course in Belagavi, Bagalkot, Gadag, and other districts are still flood but the water is receding. Current Situation: Rainfall has subsequently reduced; subsequently water has receded in Uttara Kannada. However, Parts of Belagavi, Bagalkot, Gadag are still facing flood situation due to high discharge from Upper Krishna Reservior. Till now 148453 people safely evacuated through coordinated efforts of the rescue teams. 241 relief camps are operational sheltering around 63323 people. 5. UT of J&K Cloud Burst Incidents: Dachhan, Kishtwar District : On 28.07.2021at about 0330 hrs, an incident of cloud burst took place at Honzar village, Teh- Dachhan, Kishtwar District, In this incident, 07 persons have been died, 17 persons got injured, 14 persons are still missing and approx.19 house (17 completely & 02 partially), 02 Nos. of public infrastructure and 21 cowsheds are also damaged. Current Situation: o 01 team of Indian Army (17 RR), SDRF and Local Police are conducting search and rescue operation. o SP and ADC Kishtwar are on the site. o 02 team of NDRF reached in Kishtwar. o Telephone connectivity is interrupted, however radio communication is working. o Road condition is poor of incident site is approx 15 kms walking distance from road head to incident place. o Health team of UT is available at incident site. 6. Himachal Pradesh Cloud burst / Flash Flood incident:- On 27.07.2021 at about 2000 hrs, an incident of cloud burst/flash flood took place near Tozing Nallah, district Lahaul & Spiti. In this incident, 07 persons have been died, 02 got injured and 03 persons are still missing. Search and rescue operation is going on by NDRF, ITBP and Local administration. 7. Total 140 Teams of NDRF have been prepositioned/ deployed across the country. State wise deployment is at –Annexure-II. 8. Today NIL reports received from 14 States/ UTs:- Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Goa, Jharkhand, Haryana, Manipur, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Andaman & Nicobar, Dadra & Nagar Haveli Daman & Diu, Puducherry and Ladakh. Red Warning (Extreme Flood Situation): Nil Orange Warning (Severe Flood Situation) River Panchganga at Terwad (Seasonal) in Kolhapur district of Maharashtra continues to flow in SEVERE SITUATION at 12:00 hrs today with Falling trend. River Krishna at KURUNDWAD in Kolhapur district of Maharashtra continues to flow in SEVERE SITUATION at 12:00 hrs today with Falling trend. River Yerala at NANDRE in Sangli district of Maharashtra continues to flow in SEVERE SITUATION at 12:00 hrs today with Falling trend. River Krishna at Arjunwad (Seasonal) in Sangli district of Maharashtra continues to flow in SEVERE SITUATION at 12:00 hrs today with Falling trend. 2. Forecast of IMD On 29.07.2021- Heavy Rainfall Very likely at isolated places over Madhya Maharashtra. 3. Brief of Incident: - Torrential Rainfall in various parts of the State often coinciding with high tides and also discharge from dams led to various regions in the State getting inundated thereby resulting in floods across multiple Districts in the State. Mahad and Poladpur in Raigad, Chiplun and khed in Ratnagiri along with various areas in Satara, Kolhapur and Sangli have been affected. Also flood situation arose in the districts of Thane and Palghar. 4. Current Status: - i. As per situation report received from SEOC, Maharashtra, due to heavy rainfall 10 districts i,e. Ratnagiri, Raigad, Kolhapur, Thane, Sangli, Satara, Sindhudurg, Pune, Wardha and Mumbai Suburban are affected. ii. 4,35,879 people have been evacuated from District, Ratnagiri, Satara, Thane, Kolhapur, Sangli, Pune, Raigad and Sindhudurg. iii. Restoration work of Telecommunication, electricity supply and Road communication is going on. iv. Search and rescue operation is going on in all affected areas. 5. Steps taken by Central Government: - i. Situation is being monitored 24x7 by Central Government at the highest level. ii. MHA deployed 21 NDRF teams with all necessary rescue equipment in affected areas. iii. Till now, NDRF rescued 3814 persons, evacuated 2203 persons and retrieved 105 dead bodies. iv. MHA coordinate with MoD for mobilization of Armed forces resources and the current status is as under:- Indian Army:- Army column deployed in Ratnagiri and Sangli de-inducted while column at Kolhapur kept on standby. Column conducted rescue ops at Khidrapur, Rajpur and Rajapur Wadi in Kolhapur district and rescued 120 people and provided med asst to 70 rescued individuals. Indian Navy:- HQ Western Naval Command, Mumbai Mobilised Flood Rescue Teams and Heptrs for assistance to the State Administration. Five flood Rescue Teams (03 officers and 25 sailors) ex-Mumbai deployed at Chiplun/Khed provided MREs/ packaged food and medical assistance to approx 150 residents. A total of approx 200 families have been provided with food and med assistance. Flood Rescue Team (10 pers from Abhimanyu) is presently on standby after completion of rescue ops in Raigarh Distt. Two Flood Rescue Teams ex-Karwar (01 officer and 16 sailors) deployed at Mallapur and Kaiga Township at Uttar Kannada District have been de-inducted on 27.07.2021. State administration of Maharashtra and Karnataka have informed that due to receding food waters in affected areas there is no further requirement of assistance. Accordingly all teams are being de-inducted progressively. Indian Air Force 11Rotary Wing and 10 Fixed Wing are on standby for flood relief. A total of 422 pax and 50.56 tons load airlifted in 44 sorties. Indian Coast Guard has deployed 03 Disaster Response teams with Gemini Boats and necessary life saving equipments Senior Officers of MHA are in regular touch with State Government officers to render all necessary assistance. 6. Steps taken by State Government: - State government provided a fund Rs. 2 crore to Raigad and Ratnagiri for response from State Disaster Response Fund A fund of Rs 50 Lakhs has been allocated to all other affected districts for immediate response.
