The tabloid website published on its home page photos of Frost and Mielczarek canoodling in a hotel room in Sydney's CBD on Thursday afternoon, ruining the outcome for hundreds of thousands of fans. Channel Ten won a late night court injunction against Daily Mail to have the story and all social media links taken down, but the damage had already been done. An outpouring of vitriol flooded Twitter, Facebook and the Daily Mail as followers of the show condemned the website for ruining one of the most highly guarded secrets in the Australian entertainment industry. Fans began noticing the story, which had been published at the top of the Daily Mail website, at around 5.30pm, more than three hours before the winner of the show was revealed on television. The story started circulating on Twitter, ruining The Bachelorette finale for many viewers. Bachelorette viewers lashed the website as "an absolute disgrace", slamming the responsible editors as "a***holes" and "dicks". Other condemned Daily Mail for invading the new couple's privacy by hiring and paying a paparazzo. "Good on ya Daily Mail, you're a bunch of absolute heroes for spoiling a bit of simple fun in this dark, cruel world," one upset fan wrote. Said another: "F*** you Daily Mail. I hope you're excited about the lawsuit that's coming your way". The spoiler also appears to have won Daily Mail little love with its readers after dozens of people turned on the site. "The more I tweet about this, the angrier I get! Daily Mail you were my favourite but NOT COOL spoiling the #BacheloretteAU final...," one fan wrote. Said another: "We waited all season for the finale and you ruined it. Not cool at all. You pissed off a lot of people". Some even went as far to call the unprecedented move "the death of The Bachelorette", while entertainment journalists at rival outlets called the spoiler "very bad form". "There's landing a great exclusive yarn... and then there's pissing off fans of a TV show by spoiling the outcome. Bravo Daily Mail," one wrote. In an interview with KIIS FM's Kyle and Jackie O on Friday morning, Sam Frost said she was "absolutely gutted" the outcome had been ruined for fans. "We've worked so hard.. Someone has tipped someone off and it was just awful." Daily Mail is in partnership with Ten's network rival, Nine. Channel Ten told Fairfax Media they were pursuing the matter in court and would not be making further comments. Follow us: @smh on Twitter | sydneymorningherald on Facebook .
