We occasionally get reports in which simply list serials and types - nice as the report is to receive it is almost useless for printing - the ideal form of show report to receive breaks the participants down into location (ie - static, flightlines, hangars, flypast, etc) and then lists the aircraft within that location giving serial, code, unit, special markings, etc. Having said all that I do realise that air shows can be very rushed events so please send whatever you record, even if it does not meet our ideal report requirements. Thank you! Moving on to a regular plea - there are not many RAF active airfields left and of those that are still open we have several of the more active ones that we rarely get movement details for. The ones in question are Marham, Leeming, Valley and Lossiemouth. We do have subscribers who live near to these bases and, perhaps when they next visit their local base, they might see enthusiasts there who spend more time spotting on a regular basis - see if they might be willing to provide regular sightings for the magazine (either via our subscriber or direct to the magazine) as this would really add to the overall UK coverage! Finally, the June issue of @MAR will include our regular articles (UK Crashes in the 1950s, UK Serials, Australian military movements, detailed Ramstein AMC movements, Unit updates for around the World and the latest news) plus a USCG ORBAT and the history of the H-19/S-55 in Spanish service. If you would like to see a sample copy of @MAR visit www.mar.co.uk or contact me direct at [email protected].
