MAY 2019 | SECOND TERM | VOLUME 2 #14 There is no better way to start the week than a live production by Steyn City School Dramatic Arts students at the Joburg Theatre on Sunday evening! As the students performed at the FEDA festival, I was left in awe of the amazing talent that fi lls our school. I am sure that those who enjoyed the production will join me in celebrating an outstanding performance. The praise received from the adjudicators echoed the thoughts of every Steyn City School supporter there. It was, in their words, a professional production. So, bravo to Ms McAnda and all the students involved in a seven-star performance! There is yet another fi rst is in store for us, as we open our beautiful facilities to host the Football and Net- ball Festival on Saturday. The planning and practising around the event add to the excitement and we look forward to a successful and fun-fi lled morning with fellow sportsmen and woman, coaches, and staff , alongside family and friends. Good luck to all taking part and may sport be the winner! A big thank you, in advance, to all involved in the setup, planning, and work behind the scenes. I am sure that as we are, in the words of Mr Mitchell, “in the business of children” and welcome growth in our own family, you will join me in congratulating Teacher Natalie in the EYC on her pregnancy. We are delighted and wish her joy in the journey that awaits her! We are preparing for individual and class photographs, so please ensure that your children are dressed correctly in their winter school uniforms and observe the Code of Conduct in terms of hairstyles and the like.
