Dolphins finish strong to advance to the Playoffs By virtue of their 10‐6 record and second place finish in the AFC East, the Miami Dolphins have secured their first NFL playoff appearance since 2008. The Dolphins travel to Pittsburgh to meet the Steelers on Sunday, at 1:05 p.m. A win against Pittsburgh would be Miami’s first post‐season win since the 2000 season and send the Dolphins to New England for another matchup against the Patriots on Saturday, January 14. Even with a loss to end the regular season against the New England Patriots, the Dolphins went 9‐2 in their last 11 games to claim the number six seed in the 2017 AFC post‐season. After a loss to the Tennessee Titans on October 9, the Dolphins won nine of their next 11 games to advance to the post‐season.
