Golf WEDNESDAY NIGHT SCRAMBLE July 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th All gentlemen with established handicaps are invited to participate each Wednesday throughout the Spring, Summer and early fall for a 9-Hole Captain’s Choice Scramble. At the end of the season the top 10-point winners will compete in a Closing Day Shootout. Indicate your desire to play by 5:00 pm for a 5:30 pm Shotgun. The entry fee of $10 includes a prize fund. For those participants wishing to stay after golf, dinner may be ordered from the à la carte menu. Appropriate golf fees apply. MARK YOUR CALENDAR Tuesday, July 6th - Friday, July 9th 60th JAGA All Sports Summer Camp JACKSONVILLE AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP Saturday, July 10th MGA Skins Game Thursday, July 22nd – Saturday, July 24th Saturday, July 10th Marsh Landing Country Club is pleased to be hosting the 60th JAGA Jacksonville & Sunday, July 11th Amateur Championship this year. This is one of Jacksonville’s longest running major Junior Clinic championships that attracts an exceptional field of amateur golfers from North Florida and Sunday, July 11th up to 15 entries from outside of JAGA’s North Florida home base. Junior Par 3 Challenge To be eligible to participate, amateur golfers must have a current certified USGA Monday, July 12th - handicap index of 6.0 or less for males and 2.0 or less for females based on USGA’s course Thursday, July 15th rating formula. Golf Summer Camp The field will be limited to 78 tournament entries. The participants must be 16 years of age by the entry deadline (July 12th) unless waived by the Tournament Committee. For Saturday, July 24th the sixth year in a row, World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) points will be awarded to the MGA Daily Double Game top finishers in the Championship. Saturday, July 24th The format is 54 holes of individual stroke-play competition. The course will be set-up & Sunday, July 25th to play at approximately 6,700 – 6,800 yards and play to a par 72. A cut will be made after Junior Clinic 36 holes to the top half of the field and ties. The field is the number of participants as of the Thursday, July 29th first tee time on Thursday, July 22nd. Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and the Local Junior Member-Guest Rules and Terms of the Competition for JAGA championships. To register for the championship, all players shall apply online via the JAGA website (www.jaxareagolf.org) under the Tournament tabs (“2021 Schedule” – 60th JAGA DO WE HAVE YOUR EMAIL?
