About the amendment 1.1. Short title This amendment may be cited as the Minor, Administrative and Cadastre 2020 Amendment. 1.2. Purpose The purpose and general effect of this amendment is to: (a) make minor and administrative changes; and (b) update property boundaries to align with the State Digital Cadastral Database (December 2019) and reflect development approvals. The alignment of planning scheme maps with the updated cadastre and development approvals improves the currency and accuracy of information available for properties in terms of the applicability of key elements of the Logan Planning Scheme 2015, such as zoning and overlays. 1.3. Commencement This amendment commences on the day specified in the gazettal notice. 1.4. Amendment type This amendment is a minor and administrative amendment as defined in Chapter 2 of the Minister’s Guidelines and Rules, under the Planning Act 2016. 1.5. Amendment document notes In this document, the proposed changes to the planning scheme are presented as a strikethrough (e.g. strikethrough) where text is being omitted and underlined where text is being inserted. Changed rules or sections are identified within a blue dash-outlined box. Where maps or figures are part of the proposed changes, an image of the map or figure has been included, with an embedded hyperlink. Activating the hyperlink will display the PDF map or figure to facilitate a more detailed review. Changes applied across the planning scheme The changes listed in this section have been made to all parts of the planning scheme where the issue being addressed exists. (a) Replace the non-standard character values of ‘em dash’ and ‘en dash’ with the standard hyphen character in all planning scheme text, including headings, tables and notes, to simplify and standardise the text. Examples illustrated below. (b) Change the reference to the “Logan planning scheme 2015” so that each word has a leading capital “Logan Planning Scheme 2015”. Examples illustrated below. Example illustrated below. (e) Make minor changes to correct formatting inconsistencies and other minor errors. For example: removing extra spaces, resizing text, correcting spelling and punctuation errors, correcting numbering or indentation issues, and adjusting table column widths to better fit the content.
