Halftime will be 10 minutes. Shawano Community High School welcomes you to the Kress Center for the Sun drop Shootout. We are looking forward to hosting this event. If you have any questions, please contact Athletic Director, Charmaine Schreiber (715) 526-2175 Ext. 8103. Doors Open - 9:30 a.m. for both Tuesday and Wednesday. Only team personnel will be allowed in before this time. Admission Policy Spectators - $6.00 for Students and Adults Children 6 and under are free Participating Teams – Free Admission will be provided for: 1. Teams which are playing during the tournament 2. A team of 20 including players, coaches, managers, statisticians, etc. 3. Cheerleaders must be in uniform 4. 2 Free Admissions for Principals and AD’s from each school. 5. Game Officials, scorers, timers, ticket takers and sellers, ushers, concession workers, along with tournament managers/personnel are free for all sessions. 6. Basketballs will be provided for the event. Please do not bring your own basketballs. 7. Locker rooms with shower facilities will be provided. 8. Trainers will be available to all teams. 9. Water & cups will be available for each bench. 10. Camera Person: There is a small platform for them to use at the Kress Center. Only 1 Camera Person is allowed on the platform. Spectators 1. All types of noisemakers (stadium horns, cowbells, thunder-sticks, etc.) as well as all sorts of projectiles are prohibited. 2. Antics involving throwing paper airplanes, coins, toilet paper, miniature balls, etc., will subject the violator to ejection. Paper confetti is prohibited. 3. Temporary hand held banners are allowed with some restrictions: a. They may not have offensive language b. They may not be used to disrupt players, officials, or interfere with spectators c. They may not be carried around the gym before/during the game 4. Shakers and pennants even if attached to wooden/plastic sticks for spectators, cheerleaders, pom-pon squads, etc. are not allowed. 5. “Homer hankies”, towels, and “hands” with No. 1 will be allowed provided: a. Printing includes the school name, team, nickname, or mascot b. They do not cause crowd problems 6. Loud Music devices are prohibited. 7. Other items such as balloons, bubble machines, etc., which can create crowd control concerns or clean up problems, are prohibited. Spectator Control Sportsmanship and self-control are expected from all teams and their fans. Please make sure to review with your players, coaches, spectators, etc. WIAA’s philosophy on Sportsmanship. Team Drop-Off All busses will drop off the teams by the Kress Center Loading Docks: See Attached Map of Building. Once they drop off their teams they can park in the Kress Center Lot; that is the lot behind the building. Teams may be picked up in front of the Kress Center or in the Kress Center Lot. Locker Rooms Locker rooms will be available for all teams participating. You will not be allowed in your assigned locker rooms until “roughly” 1 hour before your game. You will have a Locker room Attendant escorting you too and from the locker rooms. Teams must provide their own towels for the bench area and showers. Team Bench Only eligible players 15 max., and 5 additional people shall be permitted to occupy the players’ bench. (WIAA Rules/Regulations) “Additional people” includes coaches, managers, team physician, principal, athletic director, etc. Home Team The second school alphabetically, according to the WIAA Directory, for each game will be considered the home team (light colored jersey for home team). Warm-Ups 1. Pre-match warm-ups shall consist of 15 minutes 2. Schools should not be on the floor for ball handling prior to the designated 15 minute warm-up period a. Captains/Coaches/Officials Meeting b. National Anthem will be played before first game of the day. c. 1 minute – team huddle in the bench area d. Introductions of starters from each bench Rosters E-mail all Rosters and a team photo to Eric Mueller by Friday, December 9th to the following email address: ([email protected]) The photo does not have to be professionally done. We do not need a professionally done team photo. A photo from a smart phone or I-pad is satisfactory for the program. Concessions Will be provided by the Kress Center. Radio Stations If you are going to have a radio station broadcast your game they must contact Brent Tavis at [email protected] or call 920-465-2064.
