News from the Audi DTM Team

Zandvoort, 29 July 2007 Motorsport News from the Audi DTM team • Duel between model car and Audi A4 DTM • Photo shooting on the beach and in the North Sea • Exclusive photo production by Philippe Graton An acceleration duel between the Audi A4 DTM and a 1:5-scale model of AUDI AG Kommunikation the DTM car powered by an electric motor ended in a 2:1 victory of the 85045 Ingolstadt www.audi.com original. Mattias Ekström had his hands full keeping the high-tech model piloted by Martin Tomczyk at bay. With a photo shooting on the beach of Zandvoort the Audi factory drivers proved their talent in unusual disciplines: Whether flying kites, throwing frisbees or playing ball in the sand – the drivers gave everything. Particularly daring were Vanina Ickx, Tom Kristensen and Martin Tomczyk, who unleashed their energy in the North Sea floods at numbing water temperatures. Another unusual photo production was realised by Philippe Graton. The Belgian, who as the son of Jean Graton continues the famous racing comic series Michel Vaillant as a writer, and who has also made a name for himself as a photographer, accompanied Vanina Ickx. His lifestyle photographs have already been published by Madame Figaro, GQ and Paris Match. A particularly authentic portrait of Tom Kristensen was produced by the Audi UK Channel. A camera team followed the Dane wherever he went, from breakfast to the last massage of the day.
