You can choose whether to show the menus and dialog boxes of the iRMC web interface in English, German, or Japanese. When you enter values in the iRMC S5 web interface, you will often receive assistance in the form of tool tips. Third Party Licenses can be seen by clicking the Help menu in the title bar of the iRMC web interface. 1.1 Purpose and target groups This user guide is aimed at system administrators, network administrators, and service staff who have a sound knowledge of hardware and software. The "ServerView RAID Manager" user guide describes in detail RAID management in the ServerView environment. iRMC S5 - Web Interface 9 1.5 What's new 1.5 What's new The following changes are made in this edition: l The storage on the SD card of the iRMC can now be viewed and managed l The communication between managed server and iRMC can also be configured in-band via LAN over USB l The following eLCM tasks can be scheduled using a Task Manager: l Online update l Offline update l PrimeCollect l Report generation l Search for custom image l Download custom image l If the iRMC needs to be rebooted after an update you can now let the BIOS decide with the Dual boot option, which mode is used for the reboot. l HCL (Hardware Compatibility List) support: during update preparation of a managed server with VMware ESXi operating system, inventory data are compared with the HCL file, which is downloaded from the update repository. This list is based on the information about certified server configuration published by VMware.
