The Container Art Terminals (CATs), which were established as a part of the Creative City Creation Project of Busan Metropolitan City in July 2013, act as complex culture facilities consisting of 27 containers symbolizing Busan’s dynamism. They were constructed as two facilities standing three stories above ground. The site is composed of ‘Soran-dong’ consisting of a multi-purpose hall and exhibition room, and ‘Doran-dong’ consisting of a studio room, residence and office. It is a center of indie culture for young people. It is positioned as a landmark of western Busan and contributes to the enjoyment of civic culture through various art and culture programs for youths. There is a monthly performance of the ongoing ‘Hot Friday Party’, planned performances, exhibition, and a wide range of programs.
