Seattle’s 26 th round pick in Saves: Brandon Josselyn (10) 2008 out of Diablo Valley College, Stanton is tied for eighth in the Midwest League in wins (6). The Fantastic Franklin: After a tough 1-for-11 stretch, 19-year-old first-round pick Nick Franklin busted out with a 2-for-5 game on Monday in Peoria , including a season- high two stolen bases and a run scored…it was Franklin’s first multi-hit game since 6/13 vs. Fort Wayne, a span of 12 games…he still leads the club with 23 multi-hit games. Seattle’s #9 prospect according to Baseball America , Franklin was a first-half MWL All-Star (.299, 14 HR, 37 RBI) and is amongst league offensive leaders in several categories, including home runs (T-2nd with 14), total bases (5 th with 149), HR/AB ratio (5 th with a HR per 20.57 at-bats), slugging percentage (5 th at .517), OPS (8 th at .861) and runs scored (T-9th with 50). The Pen is Mightier: Following a stretch of 16 earned runs over 18.0 innings, the LumberKings’ bullpen has settled down for just eight earned runs over the last 46.1 innings for an ERA of 1.55. Lefty Jose Jimenez locked down his second save with 2.0 scoreless innings on Monday, his first since 5/29 vs. Kane County…Jimenez, who spent all of 2009 in the Kings’ pen has the lowest active ERA amongst Clinton relievers at 2.65.
