Following the appointment of the new Prime Minister and Ministers in July 2016, there has been a cash terms reduction in annual paybill estimated to be £109,872 (-2.3%) compared to the previous year. 2. In May 2010 overall remuneration of Ministers (Ministerial and Parliamentary salaries) was cut by 5% compared to the previous Government and then frozen for the duration of the 2010-2015 Parliament. 3. The Government has committed to freeze Ministerial salaries for the length of the 2015-20 Parliament as well, meaning a further reduction in real terms. Ministers waive part of their salary to enable this freeze. 4. Claimed salaries are the amounts Ministers are paid. Entitled salaries are the amounts Ministers are eligible to in legislation. 5. Commons Ministers receive a MP salary in addition to their Ministerial salary. Lords Ministers only receive a Ministerial salary and are not entitled to claim Lords Attendance Allowance. .
