Langley, BC EcoBlanket® Bridge Golden Crossing Constructors Pitt Meadows, BC Filtrexx FilterSoxx™ Joint Venture (GCCJV) Filtrexx InletSoxx™ Project Summary: The Golden Ears Bridge is a 1.1 Billion dollar project involving the construction of a 1km long high-level bridge spanning the world’s richest salmon river; the Fraser. The project also involves the development of 13 km of roadway and infrastructure in fisheries-sensitive areas adjacent to the river. The bridge is part of British Columbia’s Translink program; the focus of which is to ease the movement of traffic throughout the metro-Vancouver area. As part of the design, TransLink made specific environmental commitments to the government authorities responsible for fisheries and the environment which includes measures to filter run-off from new roads in order to improve water quality, protect drinking water sources and provide wildlife habitat. A special focus has been taken to minimize the impact on all watercourses from sediment, concrete or fuels during construction. Denbow was contracted by the project engineers to provide Erosion and Sediment control as well as revegetation services for the life of the 3 year project. This includes the provision of Inlet Soxx™, FilterSoxx™, and EcoBlanket® as well as Terraseeding™ of all medians and boulevards throughout the project. Denbow is also involved in the processing and manufacturing of landscape growing medium onsite from stripping material and ground woodwaste. Denbow was direct-sourced because of their focus on environmental sustainability and superior products and services. www.denbow.com 1-888-933-6269.
