PRE-FEASIBILITY REPORT 1.0 INTRODUCTION Sri Y. Kotreshappa had been granted quarry lease for Road Metal & Building Stone over an extent of 1.000 Hectare (Ac 2.47 Cts) in Sy.No.65 of S.Kondapuram village, Adoni Mandal, Kurnool District, A.P vide proceedings No. 657/Q-1/2011, dated: 07-05-2011 by the Deputy Director of Mines & Geology, Kurnool for a period of ten years from 16-08- 2012 to 15-08-2022. Sri. Y. Yerri Swamy executed the QL deed on 16-08-2012 and work orders issued to commence quarry operations vide proceedings No. 9653/M4/2010, dated 16-08-2012 of the ADM&G, Kurnool, The lease will be in force up to 15-08-2022. The mining plan is prepared following the guidelines under Rule 7 (A) of APMMC 1966 and the mining plan approved vide letter No.3443/MP-KNL/2017 Dt: 12.09.2017. 1.1 OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY To know the feasibility of the project, study is being worked out for which the lessee possess the grant of lease to mine 26125 (max) TPA of Road Metal & Building Stone. 1.2 SCOPE OF THE STUDY Cost of Project Total investment in this project by the applicant will be around Rs. 20 Lakhs Availability of land The mining operations will be within the proposed ML area of 1.000 Ha, for which the lessee has obtained necessary approvals from the consented depts. 1.3 MINING PROCEDURE Mining: Road Metal and Building stone will be mining by opencast other than fully mechanized method with drilling and blasting. The OB thickness ranges from 0.5 m to 1.0 m. The recovery factor is considered as 95% with 5% interstitial voids and fractures. There will not be any mining losses excepting handling loss which will be again recovered during further loading. 1.3.1 Reserves & Life of Mine Geological Recoverable reserves = 4,43,175 Tons Less Reserves blocked in 7.5m Buffer zone = 1,05,569 Tons Less Reserves blocked in safety benches slope = 2,15,769 Tons Reserves available for mining = 1,21,837 tons Life of the Quarry = 1,21,837/17,765 = 6.85 years of 7 years. 1.3.2 Extent of Mechanization Mining operations will be carried out by developing the following machinery: S.No. Type of Nos. Dump Management: 5% of intercalated waste to the tune of 1,980 m3 will be generated which will be dumped over an area of 154 m2 to a height of 8m on the North western portion of the QL area as depicted on plate – 4. The generated waste will be utilized for internal road formation, marketed or leveling and partially for reclamation. Use of mineral & mineral rejects The ROM will be fed in to the crusher established outside the applied QL area where it will be crushed to desired sizes and utilized for the State Highway projects. Entire ROM is intended for captive consumption. 1.3.4 Transportation Trucks will be hired for transporting ore to the buyers point. 1.3.5 Site Services Office Canteen, Rest shelters, Drinking water & medical facilities, transport and other are proposed to be constructed in the designated area of 25m2. 1.3.6 Employment Potential The strength of employees would be around 11. 1.4 PROJECT DEVELOPMENT AND EXECUTION 1.4.1 Resources Required Man Power: Mostly the labors will be recruited from weaker section of the local surrounding area. Water Requirement: Water consumption is around 3.0 KLD. The ground water will be drawn from bore well for water requirement Permits Required 1. Consent for Establishment from the State Pollution Control Board 2. Environmental clearance needs to be obtained. 1.5. ANALYSIS OF PROPOSAL Y. KOTRESHAPPA is proposed for annual production of 26125 TPA of Road Metal & Building Stone .The financial estimates reveal the rate of returns. The project is economically viable. The estimates have also taken into consideration the occupational health expenses, environmental protective measures, social welfare activities etc., The Form-1M, EMP and Mining Plan are submitted with this document.
