Unveiled on September 30, 2014, it is scheduled to be released in late 2015.First hinted at in April 2014 at the Build Conference, Windows 10 aims to address shortcomings in the user interface introduced by Windows 8 by improving the user experience for non-touchscreen devices (such as desktop computers and laptops), including a revival of the Start menu seen in Windows 7, a virtual desktop system, and the ability to run Windows Store apps within windows on the desktop as well as in full-screen mode. Windows 10 will be available for desktops and laptops, and it has been announced it will be used on tablets, smartphones, other embedded Windows products and also the XboxOne. In July 2014, Microsoft's new CEO Satya Nadella explained that the company was planning to "streamline the next version of Windows from three operating systems into one single converged operating system for screens of all sizes," unifying Windows, Windows Phone, and Windows Embedded around a common architecture and a unified application ecosystem. However, Nadella stated that these internal changes would not have any effect on how the operating systems are marketed and sold. Many of these printers end up getting funded and eventually produced, while many also fall through the cracks, never to live up to the hopes and dreams of their creators. We have seen some pretty incredible projects come to fruition over the years, but few, if any, have been as interesting, and almost unbelievable as a recent project launched this week by a Cedar Park, Texas man on Indiegogo. Steven Middleton, a mechanical and materials engineer, with a background in complex electro-mechanical systems, has launched a crowdfunding project, seeking $25,000 for the full scale production of Pocket3DPrinter. The 3D printer, which is not much larger than an Apple iPad, can literally fold up and fit in someone’s pocket. Constructed out of machined aluminum, with a tempered glass print bed, the Pocket3DPrinter uses a combination of two popular additive technologies. It prints in a similar fashion as a typical FDM machine such as a MakerBot Replicator, however, instead of using molten plastic released from a scorching hot extruder, it uses photosensitive resin. Like you would see in typical stereolithography-based 3D printer, a UV LED, is placed at the tip if the printing arm. As soon as the resin is released, it is cured by the light. This means that the machine can fold up and be placed back into a pocket or a briefcase without the need to cool down. General specifications of this machine which comes in two different sizes: Printer Technology: SLA, Cures photosensitive resin Build Envelope: 6” X 6” X 5” or 8” X 8” X 7” Printer Size When Closed: 1” X 6” X 7” or 1”X 8” X 9” Submitted By KALAIVANI R II B.Sc. CT 3 KONGU ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE, ERODE DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IT BULLETIN DATE: 20.12.2014 AMERICAN INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES BUILDING NEW SUPER COMPUTER: American intelligence agencies announced plans to develop and build a new superconducting supercomputer, one which would increase current computing capacity while simultaneously reducing the energy consumption and physical footprint of the machines. The Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity, a branch of the U.S. intelligence community, said in a press release that the agency has embarked on a multi-year research effort called the Cryogenic Computer Complexity program, or C3. Current supercomputing utilizes technology that relies on tens of megawatts and requires large amounts of physical space to house the infrastructure and power and cool the components.C3 hopes to use recent breakthroughs in supercomputing technologies "new families of superconducting logic without static power dissipation and new ideas for energy efficient cryogenic memory" to construct a superconducting supercomputer with "a simplified cooling infrastructure and a greatly reduced footprint.""The power, space, and cooling requirements for current supercomputers based on complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) technology are becoming unmanageable,", C3 program manager at IARPA. "Computers based on superconducting logic integrated with new kinds of cryogenic memory will allow expansion of current computing facilities while staying within space and energy budgets, and may enable supercomputer development beyond the exascale, FLOPS, or Floating Point Operations per Second, is the measurement of a computer's performance. An exaFLOP is a billion billion (or one quintillion) calculations per second. Submitted By KEERTHIKA.C II - B.Sc. I see no difference at all in any features. The hidden tricks and fixes I discussed two weeks ago still apply. I can even reconfirm the sticking Caps Lock/Num Lock problem. There was one patch applied to the old 9879, KB 3019269, which according to a tweet from Gabe Aul only fix a 0xAB blue screen for some build 9879 users. Aul had tweeted earlier that Microsoft would "make a couple of additional fixes" to build 9879, but it isn't clear if any of those fixes made it into the new version. If you would like to perform a clean install of the consumer (not Enterprise) version of 9879, Microsoft has provided downloadable ISOs for English (United States and United Kingdom), Chinese (Simplified), and Portuguese (Brazil). The product key which you will need for an ISO install is NKJFK-GPHP7-G8C3J-P6JXR-HQRJR.
