NON-KINDLE DEVICE WITHOUT OVERDRIVE APP P AGE | 1 This includes: Sony eReader, nook 1st generation, Kobo, Kobo Glo, Kobo Aura and others. These devices are compatible with EPUB eBooks. You will need: - A valid library card - Adobe Digital Editions - An Adobe ID and password - Your eReader’s USB cable 1. In your computer’s browser navigate to cheltenhamlibraries.org and click on the OverDrive banner at the bottom of the page. 2. Click “Sign In” at the top right of the page. 3. Sign in with your home library and library card number. 4. Locate a book you’re interested in checking out using the search or the categories provided. Available books will have a black book icon in the upper right corner of the cover image. Unavailable books will have a grey book icon. 5. Hover over the cover of the book you want to check out and click on “Borrow” then click “Go to Checkouts”. 6. On your Checkouts page find the book you just selected and click “Download” then select “EPUB eBook”. Click “Confirm & Download”. The eBook file will download to your computer. 7. Connect your eReader to your computer. 8. Locate the downloaded eBook file and double click it. The eBook will open in Adobe Digital Editions. 9. Click “< Library” at the top of the screen, below “File”. 10. The book you checked out will appear in the right pane. Click and hold on the book’s cover then drag it to the left pane and drop it “onto” your eReader listed below “Devices”. 11. When the transfer is complete, eject and unplug your eReader.
