Morin, Ph.D. Assistant Professor, Department of Communication A scholar of communication and social media, Dr. David Morin is an assistant professor in the Department of Communication at Utah Valley University. In addition to course instruction in political communication, communication theory and social media, he has helped establish and develop curriculum for UVU’s new social media minor and serves as a web and social media coordinator for the Communication Department. Morin also serves as a faculty senator. His previous experience includes teaching and developing communications courses at Bowling Green and Virginia Tech and research with Media Research Lab and the Emergent Media Research Group. Morin’s areas of study include media priming, agenda setting, network scholarship, political communication, network analysis, and social media research. Morin received his Doctorate in Media and Communication from Bowling Green State University, where he was a finalist for the Distinguished Dissertation Award, and earned his Master of Communication from Virginia Tech. His undergraduate degree in Political Science was completed at the University of Illinois.
