The first scheme of mining is due for the period 2011-2012 to 2015-2016 is submitted during the plan period and therefore the scheme of mining is prepared for the next five years period from 2016-17 to 2020-21 for effective implementation. The applicant, M/s. Twilight Stone (P) Ltd, registered at No.84, Eldam Road, Teynampet, Chennai having vast experience and skill on quarrying of granite blocks in Tamil Nadu for the last 10 years. They have been granted mining Lease from the State Government over an extent of 1.53.0Hectares in S.F.No. 404/1(P), 2(P),5(P),6(P) & 405/1(P), Vadachinneripalayam Village of Kangeyam Taluk, Tirupur district to quarry multi colour granite blocks under G.O 3(D) No. 47 Industries (MMB-2) Dept. dated 28.02.2006 and lease was executed on 27.03.2006 for a period of 20years till 26.03.2026. It mainly composed of mineral constituents like quartz and feldspar with accessory minerals like garnet, Biotite and muscovite mica. The feldspar is mostly white in nature due to presence of Albite and Oligoclase series of plagioclase group. Disintegration and decomposition of ferromagnesian minerals provide golden shade up on polished for the top layer of 3-6m thick sheets. Dimensional cutting and polishing of these types of hard and compact sheet exhibits an attractive pale yellow to light white shades of background. The multi colour obtained after polishing is almost white\Gold and find a suitable market in flooring Tiles and slabs. Granites finds its application in such industries owing to the fact of its high compressive and tensile strength, high hardness ranging from 6.5 – 7.5 (Moh’s scale) specific gravity 2.70 and attain high polishing which create an excellent aesthetic value. The first Scheme of mining is expired 31.03.2016. Now the next five years Scheme of mining period from 2016-2021 is prepared and submitted for approval. The applicant had worked the quarry scientifically and systematically to extract the rough blocks for exports. It is advised to the applicant that all dumps must be made within the lease boundary as per GCDR, 1999 or obtain surface rights and get approval from State Govt. for dumping outside the lease, if required. Copy) No other special condition was imposed during the last five years by the Dept. of Geology and Mining by the district office at Tirupur and commission ate in Chennai. Now, the mining scheme is prepared for the lease area over an extent of 1.53.0 Hec. as per the above G.O. 3(D) No. 47 \Industries(MMB2) Dept \dated 28.2.2006 for the period 2016-21. As the five years period of mining Plan is expired on 31.3.2016, now the scheme of mining is prepared for the period from 2016-17 to 2020-21,now the scheme of mining is prepared for the period from 2017-2021 for approval from the Dept of Geology and Mining, Chennai for systematic operation.
