The biggest piece of the news is that we are discontinuing a large number of lines to make way for new ones and to make the process of online ordering easier. By discontinuing certain lines and products, it gives us the space to bring in new products that you and your customers will love. While this may seem like a large change, we would like to stress that the changes that are taking place are entirely to make Michaels Wholefoods even better and are nothing to worry about. Summer After careful consideration and research, we've decided to Clear-out discontinue our customers' least favourite products to give us more space to stock new and exciting products that we hope you'll love. Mention the products when you next order with us or send your suggestions to: [email protected] Packaging Innovations London 2019 The Annual Packaging Innovations and Luxury Packaging London Show took place in September and we were there to make sure that we are keeping up with the latest trends in innovations and eco-friendly packaging. While we were there we spoke to Futamura who produce the NatureFlex compostable films that we use for the majority of packaging. The main focus of this years show was on being Plastic Free and the biggest attraction of the two day show was Plastic Free Land which was organised by Plastic Planet, an organisation whose goal is to "ignite and inspire the world to turn off the plastic tap." Autumn 2019 TAG Pet Rescue Open Day Every year we attend the TAG Pet Rescue open day in Kent to help raise money for a charity that is very close to our hearts. Tag Pet Rescue's mission is to care for and rehome as many animals as they can. The charity relies entirely on donations, income from their shops and the tireless work of their volunteers. The open day took place on September 1st and had lots of different stalls, games, food, tea and cake and gave visitors the opportunity to have a look around their pet sanctuary. Michaels Wholefoods donated half of our proceedings from our stall to the charity and are proud to be able to help a wonderful local charity. To find out more search Tag Pet Rescue and give them a like on Facebook. Cutting Down on Food Waste As with everything we do at Michaels Wholefoods, we try to find sustainable solutions. One of the ways in which we do this is by donating foods and goods that would otherwise go to waste to local zoos and animal parks. While we do our best to make sure that none of our products go to waste, sometimes there are occasions when this can't be avoided and we make sure they are donated to somewhere that can make use of
