VU1IF VELOSKI, Jeanette, age 70, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, formerly of Martins Ferry, . died Friday, October 8th, 2010 at Park Health Center. Jeanette was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on July 28, 1940, she was a daugh­ ter of the late William and Jenny (Kornacki) Veloski. She was a retired admissi- nons clerk for East Ohio Regional Hospital, where she was employed for 27 years. Jeanette was also a member of Prayer Hill Church of God. She is survived by two I sisters, Deanna Veloski and | Betty Neavin; and one aunt, Nellie Covington, all of Martins Ferry. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Keller Funeral Home, 615 Hanover St., Martins Ferry, Ohio, where friends will be received on Tuesday, October 12th, from 9 a.m. until time of service at noon with Pastor Michael Ream officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio. He was bom July 5,1908 at Florence, Martins Ferry, son of the late John and Mary Veloski. He was a retired coal miner from Y&O Coal Co., and a member of Colerain Presbyter­ ian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sail Veloski, in 1965; 10 brothers and sisters. Surviving are a son, John III of Chardon; two daughters, Mrs. Alex (Ruthetta) Vargo of Colerain, Mrs. Bryan (Linda) Mcllvain of Willoughby; a brother, Walter of Flushing; three sisters, Ann Rungo of Yorkville, Theresa Orgresovich of Colerain, Sophia Simon of Martins Ferry; 10 grandchil­ dren; seven great-grand­ children. She was bom Sept. i5, 1919 at Lafferty, daughter of the late Thomas and Josephine Wcislo Pcionek. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Martins Ferry and the Polish National Alliance. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Veloski; two brothers, Steve and Frank Pcionek. Surviving are a brother, Joseph Pcionek of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; three sisters, Stella Pcionek of Flor­ ence, Helena Pcionek and Sally Hickman, both of Martins Ferry; a niece. Velfcski (Hudson), 71, of 4535 Harrison St., Bellaire, died Friday in Ohio Valley Med­ ical Center, Wheeling. She was born July 6, 1913, in Bellaire, daughter of the late Milton and Melissa Sherman Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Veloski, in 1972. A retired employee of Bobbie Brooks, Bellaire, she was a Presbyterian. Surviving are two sons, Rich­ ard Veloski of West Springfield, Mass, and Donald L. Veloski of Martins Ferry; a daughter, Mrs. Dan (Dorothy) VuceUch of Shadyside; a brother, Daniel Clark of Martins Ferry; two sisters, Mrs. John (Louise): Urban of Barnesville and Sarah Ward of Bellaire; five grand­ children. Sheldon Thomas officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial; Gardens, Pleasant Grove. Walter Veloski Walter E. “Whitey” Veloski, 82, of Harrisville, died July 9, 2003 at East Ohio Regional Hospital. He was born June 6, 1921 at Florence, Ohio, son of the late John and Mary Pittslick Veloski. He was a Catholic by faith and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serv­ ing in World War II with the 15th Airforce; a retired electri­ cian with Y&O Coal Co., a member of the UMWA and an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed working in his yard. He was a graduate of Martins Ferry High School and attended Miami University. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean R. (Wojchowski) Veloski in 1993; four brothers, Frank, Bill, Johnny and Andy and five sisters, Theresa Ogresovich, Marie Hunter, Frances Martin, Annie Rungo and Emma Roy. Walter is survived by a daugh­ ter, Jacqueline Eibel and her hus­ band, Brad of Harrisville; a sis­ ter, Sophie Johnson and her hus­ band Ed of Martins Ferry; two grandsons, Mike Renicker and his wife Brenda of Canton and Scott Renicker of Columbus and three great-grandchildren, Clint, Shelby and Megan Renicker. VELT, George Henry, 92, of Lake Mary, FL, formerly of Bellaire, OH, died Wednesday, September 4, 2013, in Lake Mary Health and Rehab Center, Lake Mary FL, after a four-month stay. George was born February 23, 1921, in Bellaire, OH, a son of the late John and Immaculata DelVecchio Veit. He attended St. John Grade School and was a 1941 graduate of Bellaire High School. He attended Wittenburg College where he was a member of the Football team. He was drafted in May 1943 into the United States Army during WWII and Served in Europe until being honorably discharged in January of 1946. After returning home, George utilized the G.I. Bill and enrolled in the The Ohio State University and graduated with a B.S. degree from the College of Pharmacy in 1952. He worked as a Pharmacist in Columbus, Ohio until 1963, before moving his family to Hollywood, Florida where he retired from Super-X Drugs in 1986. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were a son, Vincent Veit; four brothers, Daniel, John “Tarzan”, William ,and Alfred Veit; and two sis­ ters, Helen and Lena. Surviving is a son, Victor Veit of North Branford, CT; a sister-in-law, Sally Veit of Va; five nephews and a niece. Family and friends are invited to attend a grave­ side service at 1 1 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013 in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Bellaire, Ohio with Fr. Daniel Heusel offi­ ciating. John Veit John (Tarzan) Veit, 76, 109 Wagner Ave., West Bellaire, died Monday at home. He was born Jan. 25,1914 at Bellaire, a son of the late John and Innaculetta Delvecchio Veit. He was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., Mingo Junction plant, and a member of St. John Catholic Church, Bellaire, and the Sons of Italy of Bellaire. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Surviving are his wife, Mary Capobianco Veit: three sons, John Michael of Apopka, Fla., Daniel of Westerville, and Bruce of Bexley; a brother, George of Hollywood, Fla.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
