Proxim Confidential 13 FastConnect - Procedures FastConnect supports 3 types of hand off procedures Slow Roaming This is triggered when SU has sufficient time to move to a better BSU, and the Slow roaming SNR threshold is greater than or equal to the current SNR. During this procedure, when SU is scanning for new BSU's, BSU and SU will buffer all the data till scanning period is finished. Fast Roaming This is triggered when SU's link is in the edge of the BSU's coverage area as determined by SNR.
