There are no unaccompanied per- sonnel housing for officers and senior enlisted personnel available on the installation. Information per- taining to unaccompanied personnel housing can be obtained by calling 706-791-7067. The Housing Services Office main- tains a complete up-to-date listing of available housing within local com- munities. Since a waiting period usually exists for on-post family housing for most grades, many per- sonnel must seek temporary housing within the local community. The Housing Services Office offers coun- seling and personal attention to your specific needs, which enables you to choose wisely from various types of off-post housing. Newcomers are required to report to the Housing Services Office before seeking off- post quarters. This office also serves as a relocation point to those members who are rotating from Fort Gordon to other installations. While 188 rooms are specifi- cally designated for the Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, all others are routinely assigned to offi- cers, Department of Defense civilians and other enlisted visitors to the installation. Included are Distin- guished Visitor Quarters, which are available for general and senior grade officers (other official guests on space available) and Stinson Hall, a favorite with permanent change of station personnel, hospital patients and visitors.
