CIVILIZATIONS Lost Civilizations : Vietnam The history of Vietnam is intertwined with the history of the people who occupied the country, and par5cularly of the Vietnamese people, who are the dominant ethnic group. For over a millennium, Vietnam is a possession of China. In 939, the country becomes independent.
