The Screaming Eagles were receiving votes in the national poll. USI took game one 20 Parkside * 4 p.m. by a final of 8-6 on Feb. 14 at Hoover Met Complex. The Panthers led 5-4 in the contest before 21 Parkside (DH) * 1 p.m. the Screaming Eagles scored four times in the bottom of the seventh to take an 8-5 lead. Lucas 22 Parkside * 12 p.m. McNew had a RBI double in the inning followed by Manny Lopez with a RBI single. Ethan 24 at Central Michigan 3:30 p.m. Hunter had the next big hit and a two-base error on the single allowed two runs to score for 27 at Saginaw Valley * 4 p.m. a three-run cushion. Michael Lincoln took the loss for DU going 2.2 innings in relief. Tyler 28 at Saginaw Valley (DH) * 1 p.m. Hagedorn got the win in relief for USI finishing the final three innings. Max 17 at Northwood * 4 p.m. Swan picked up the win in relief going 3.1 innings and allowing two hits and no runs with 18 at Northwood (DH) * 1 p.m. five strikeouts. Grant Jebbia and Evan Maize also pitched a shutout inning each. Both struck 19 at Northwood * 12 p.m. out the side as DU fanned 12 Screaming Eagles in the game. DU jumped out to a 5-0 lead in 24 Grand Valley State * 4 p.m. the top of the fourth and then USI responded with four runs in the bottom of the inning. 25 Grand Valley State (DH) * 1 p.m. Trujillo had a two-run scoring single and Noah Marcoux had a RBI triple in the fourth. DU 26 Grand Valley State * 12 p.m. increased their lead to 8-4 in the sixth as Buchberger launched a two-run homer to deep left. The Panthers put it away with five runs in the seventh. Marcoux had the big blow with a bases- May clearing triple. Buchberger and Marcoux each finished with four RBI. 1 at Wayne State * 4 p.m. Davenport batted .292 in the series and limited the Screaming Eagles to a .204 average. 2 at Wayne State (DH) * 1 p.m. Buchberger hit .500 (7-14) and scored five runs.
