Diagnostic Notes **Adult** Have a flattened slanted forehead, the vertex shows erect scaling; labial palpi are directed upwards, with prominent maxilary palpi; proboscis is long and thin, with scales at the base; filiform antennae as long as the forewings, usually sexually dimorphic; wings show a very simple colour pattern with white or yellow translucent areas surrounded by blackish/brown bands that vary in size, in some species can occupy most of the wings; legs are normal, but in some species the males show modified spurs on their hind tibiae; abdomen with a group of spatulate scales at its apex, may be coloured from yellow to very dark brown; scales are present in both sexes, although in males is more developed. **References** - Arias, Q., Clavijo, J. & Gaiani, M.
