Sadler's Yard Summer Jam, now in its third year, will have a brand new look and line-up for the bank holiday weekend celebrations. Cuppa and a Chat Group - The Cuppa and a Chat group is held every Friday 1-3pm at the Chorlton Health Centre, 1 Nicolas Road, Manchester, M21 9NJ. It is essentially a dementia café which will be facilitated by Dementia Support Advisors, Admiral Nurses and Alzheimer’s Society Support Workers. The idea of the group is to bring people with a diagnosis of dementia and their carers together in the community. It will be a “safe” place for people to come and get support and information from professionals and other people in similar situations. Peer support is one of the keys to living well with dementia, We aim to provide education, practical support, information about local services and opportunities for questions, sharing experiences and social interactions in a relaxed and friendly environment.
