Diagnostic Notes **Disease** Eyespot and seedling blight of sugarcane. Longitudinal leaf spots up to 12 × 6 mm, reddish with pale halo, coalescing. Chlorotic streaks may later run from spot towards leaf tip. Lesions can also form on stalks, and fungus may cause a seedling blight, especially under cool conditions. **Morphology** _Conidiophores_ arising singly or in small groups, often from a dark brown to black loose stroma, mid to dark brown, up to 200 µm long, 5–8 µm thick, with one or more distinct conidial scars. _Conidia_ single, straight or slightly curved, cylindrical or narrowly ellipsoidal, 35–95 µm long, 9–17 µm wide, pale to golden brown, smooth, 5–9-distoseptate (mostly 8), distinct basal scar 3–4.5 µm wide. 2.6.
