During Muslim of total population era, Dehli Sultnate and Mughal Empire also ruled here. British came Risk: High here in 1849 and established system of Administration and Transportation Network. It is the center of Islamic teachings and many Hill Torrent Sufi Saints established their schools to spread Islam in Sub-Continent. Estimated number of people at risk of Hill Torrent in 2018 CDG Multan was created in 2005. 0 Major Hazards of total population -Floods Risk: Low -Earthquake Earthquake -Building Collapse Incidents Estimated number of people at -Fire Incidents risk of earthquake in 2018 -Road Traffic Accidents -Bomb Blast / Terrorism 20% of total population Risk: High Response Objectives are as follows: -Established the institutional and legal system for disaster Epidemic management Estimated number of people at -Prepare Disaster Management Plans at various levels risk of epidemic in 2018 -Conduct multi-hazard, vulnerability and risk assessment 5% -Establish multi-hazard early warning and evacuation systems of total population -Promotion of training, education and awareness in relation to Risk: Low disaster management. 1 District Multan DDMP 2020 AIM AND OBJECTIVES The plan is aimed to manage emergencies by putting in place requisite mitigation measures and a well-coordinated and integrated response at district level. The main objectives of the plan include: To develop a plan of action for the District Disaster Management Authority and other district stakeholders to set priorities and provide directions for disaster management; To define the roles of various stakeholders in disaster management in all the phases pre, during and after disaster; To raise awareness of stakeholders about disaster risks and the requirements for disaster management; To introduce coordination mechanism for immediate response and rehabilitation at district level; To enhance the effectiveness and timeliness of emergency response through the clarification of goals, strategies, roles and responsibilities; To strengthen response coordination between government departments and humanitarian organizations(UN agencies, I/NGOs); 2 District Multan DDMP 2020 DISTRICT PROFILE Socio-Economic Indicators (Average) S.No. Particulars Numbers 1.
