The same thing is also indicated in other cases, by "of" so and so; the Christian name being then used. The names of closes, courts, wynds, &c. are all given in their respective places, whether the names of any persons residing in them are given or not ; and their exact situations, as well as those of places of greater impor- tance, are exhibited in a very simple manner, which, without any explanation will be easily understood at sight.
