Martin-Chan Sangguniang Panlungsod Member CITY RESOLUTION NO. 290-08-2020 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES TO CONDUCT FEASIBILITY STUDIES FOR THE TUGUEGARAO AIRPORT PROJECT DEVELOPMENT AND GRANTING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MAYOR, HON. JEFFERSON P. SORIANO, TO SIGN FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT THE SAID MOA WHEREAS, pursuant to Executive Order No. 125, series of 1987 as amended, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) is the primaiy policy, planning, programming, coordinating, implementing and administrative entity of the executive branch of the govermnent for the promotion, development and regulation of a dependable and coordinated netvvork of transportation systems as well as in the fast, safe, efficient and reliable transportation services; WHEREAS, the DOTr has available funds ("Project Fund") with a total amount of Twenty Million Pesos (PhP20,000,000,00) as provided from the General Appropriations Act (GAA) of CY 2019 chargeable against FS Fund allocated for the Tuguegarao Airport Project Development for the procurement of consultancy services; WHEREAS, it is the goal of the national government that the operations of the Tuguegarao Airport be in conformity with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Standards and Recommended Practices and with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Manual of Standards for Aerodrones; WHEREAS, the City Mayor, Hon. Atty. Jefferson P. Soriano, indorsed to the Eighth City Council the Memorandum of Agreement and requested for an authority to sign the said MOA for and on behalf of the City Govenunent of Tuguegarao; Page 1 of 2 NOW, THEREFORE, RESOLVE, as it is hereby RESOLVED, to approve the Memorandum of Agreement vvith the Department of Transportation for the Procurement of Consultancy Services to Conduct Feasibility Studies for the Tuguegarao Airport Project Development and to grant authority to the City Mayor, Hon. Jefferson P. Soriano, to sign for and on behalf of the City Government the said MOA.
