Paul Shanklin is the Rush Limbaugh Show's man of many voices. An audience of over 20 million listeners nationwide hears Paul's impressions of Bill Clinton, Ross Paul Shanklin Perot, Al Gore, George W. Bush, Joe Lieberman and many others. Paul Shanklin's impressions have been a staple on the Rush Limbaugh Show since 1993. His skits and songs parodying political figures and others have become Speech Topics favorites of the listeners. Over the years, Paul Shanklin has written and produced more than 800 song parodies, skits and spoof commercials for the show, and has released seven successful albums. Politics & Current Events Paul Shanklin's career in radio began in an unlikely place: the Turner Dairy "Do Midsouth Your Moo" booth at the Mid-South Fair in the fall of 1992. It was there that Paul Humor Shanklin's impression of Ross Perot lead to regular appearances on Bill Young's Entertainment popular morning show, and later on KIX-106. In May of 1993, Paul Shanklin sent three demo tapes to Johnny Donovan of the Rush Limbaugh Show. After getting no response, Paul Shanklin's friend, Los Angeles Times editorial cartoonist Mike Ramirez, suggested that Paul call Mr. Donovan while impersonating Bill Clinton. As Clinton, Paul told Johnny Donovan, "I don't feel Rush and I are as close as we used to be. Can you work things out between me and Rush? I don't think we're really that far apart on the issues." Donovan liked the impression, asked for a demo tape, and national exposure followed. Outside the Limbaugh show, Paul Shanklin is a regular on WMAL in Washington, D.C., a voice talent for commercials, and travels the country performing his comedy routine.
