Soccer Facility Dirks Field Capacity/Elevation 2,000 / 6,876 Nicolas Perez leads the Skyhawks in shots with three, and shots on goal with two. Senior goalkeeper Ryan Schaul made eight saves and allowed three TEAM INFORMATION goals in 161 minutes between the posts. He recorded a saves percent- age of .727, and a goals against average of 1.68. 2014 Record 11-8-0 2014 Conference Record/Finish 9-5-0/T-2nd Freshman Elliot Chadderton made his fi rst appearance in goal Sun- Starters Returning/Lost 5/6 day against St. Mary’s, playing the fi nal 19 minutes of the game. First Year of Men’s Soccer 1990 Becker, Badawi and the Lawrence brothers accounted for 62 of the Conference Titles/Years 8 Skyhawks 102 points (60.8 percent). 1997, 1998, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2011 All-Time Record (W/L %) 325-135-36 (.691) Goalkeeper Ryan Schaul made 14 starts in goal last season, earning a All-Time Conference Record (W/L %) 212-68-20 (.740) 1.45 goals against average and notching three shutouts. NCAA Postseason Appearances/Years 11 1997-1999, 2001, 2004-2009, 2011 Head coach Oige Kennedy begins his seventh year as head coach of NCAA Championships/Years 3/2005, 2009, 2011 the Skyhawks. Kennedy has led FLC to two NCAA National Champi- NCAA Postseason Record 16-8-2 (.654) onship titles (2009, 2011). Last NCAA Postseason Appearance: 2011 - NCAA Champions Kennedy begins the 2015 with a 90-31-7 record (.730). He is 10 wins away from meeting the century win mark for the Skyhawks. COACHING STAFF Junior forward Yannis Becker was selected the 2015 RMAC Men’s Soccer Preseason Player of the Year. A 2014 Daktronics All-America Head Coach Oige Kennedy selection, Becker was also chosen to the All-RMAC First Team, and to Assistant Coach: John Cunliff e the NSCAA and Daktronics All-South Central First Teams. He led the league in shots and ranked second in points, goals and assists. In six seasons as head NSCAA Division II Poll coach, he’s won two NCAA Division II national champi- onships (2009 and 2011), two Rocky Mountain Athletic September 8, 2015 Conference regular season titles (2009 and 2011), and two RMAC postseason crowns (2009 and 2011). Through six seasons, Kennedy has posted a 90-31-7 overall Rank School record (.730) and is 59-21-4 (.726) in RMAC games. His 1 Lynn University teams are a perfect 10-0-0 in the NCAA playoffs and 5-3-2 2 University Of Charleston in the RMAC tournament (two ties ending in penalty kicks). 3 Young Harris College His rookie year in charge of the perennial national powerhouse 4 Southern New Hampshire Skyhawks was the stuff that makes legends. Hired as interim head 5 Seattle Pacifi c University coach just weeks before his team was to report for preseason training, Kennedy became the fi rst coach in NCAA history to guide a men’s 6 Saginaw Valley State University soccer team to a national championship in his fi rst year of collegiate 7 Lindenwood University coaching. 8 Limestone College Hired in July 2009 after former FLC Head Coach Tim Hankinson 9 Midwestern State University resigned to take a coaching assignment in India, Kennedy’s team 10 Florida Tech raced out of the gate to three victories by a combined 17-2 score. A 11 Notre Dame College mid-season road trip saw rain cancel one game and force the location of another to be moved from a neutral site in Austin to the home turf of No. 9 Incarnate Word in San Antonio. A 2-1 loss ensued, thanks to a pair of Skyhawk 12 Colorado State University-Pueblo shots that clanked off the crossbar in the fi nal 10 minutes. Rebounding from that loss, FLC reeled off 21 straight 13 Northwest Nazarene University wins to claim their second national championship in fi ve years. 14 Fort Hays State University Th e season was a magical one. Fort Lewis outscored its opponents 108-13, leading the nation in goals (108) by 45 15 LIU Post more than its closest competitor. Th e Skyhawks also led the nation in winning percentage (24-1, .960), and ranked 16 Northwood University (Mich.) fi fth in team goals against average (0.52, 13 goals) and ninth in team shutout percentage (0.56, 14 shutouts). FLC’s 17 Merrimack College 11 goals against Colorado Christian on Oct. 18 were the third best in Division II for a single game during the year. 18 Bloomsburg University Th e biggest surprise of the season, though, came in FLC’s 8-2 win over No. 6 Le Moyne in the NCAA Division II 19 Christian Brothers University semifi nals — not so much in the result, but the fi nal margin of victory.
