Matters outstanding: • Noticeboards - Who has keys for which noticeboards within the ward? Action – MD to liase with CC’s to discuss • Any other matters outstanding have been covered within matters arising. 4 Matters Arising Schools • The book fair has arrived at Lairhillock School. • The Christmas Fayre for Lairhillock School will be held on Saturday 1st December. • Although Banchory Devenick School will have a Christmas Fayre, the date is unknown. • Hillside School are raising funds for a defibrillator which is to be situated at the Co-Op at Hillside. Tea & Coffees will be served on Sat, 17th November (10am – noon) in the Porty Cabin, Portlethen and a quiz night has been organized for the Thurs, 8th November, starting at 6pm, at the Ashvale in Portlethen. • Further information can be obtained from the school’s websites: http://banchory- devenick.aberdeenshire.sch.uk/ & http://lairhillock.aberdeenshire.sch.uk/ & http://hillside.aberdeenshire.sch.uk Website, Facebook & Media • The NKRCC website is updated frequently however it is unknown how many people use the site for information. MD suggested that the website could be refreshed and material of interest posted. Action MD to ask LB for assistance and to organise a session for CC to brainstorm areas within the website. • It was agreed, that to avoid confusion, the Not the NKRCC Facebook pages should be renamed as Now the NKRCC Facebook page (as this is a group, not a page) and the page NKRCC be closed/merged. 1st Action – BM to add MD/LB/GN as admin on Now the NKRCC page. 2nd Action – MD to add pinned post to current NKRCC page to advise new group and request people join. • Guidelines to be drawn as to what is uploaded onto Facebook Page. Action – BM/MD/LB • The email system for the NKRCC has been updated to better meet the needs of the current councilors. CC’s are to request assistance from GN, for initial log in if required. Action – All CC’s (who have not already done so) to log on to new email site and familiarise themselves with the new system. Roads • The outcome of a road safety audit on the Pillar Bridge concluded that a passing place is to be created and permanent barriers will be erected. Date of works as yet unknown. Action – HIF to chase Bob Gray (A/Shire Roads Engineer) for dates • Questions were raised as to why the Cleanhill junction does not have two lanes. Action - HIF to query the design with Bob Gray • A complaint, two holes at Dyke Neuk Corner, has been logged by a member of the community on the AC report-it website, four times with responses stating that work has been completed. The hole is still there. Action – HF to alert Bob Gray • The road leading to the Crynoch Bridge (approaching from Stronogg) on the U62K has an ever-increasing dip and stress cracks are now appearing. There is a fear that the bridge may be closed if the road is not repaired. It is thought that bridge engineers are examining the area every six weeks. • Cllr Pike has written to Bryan Strachan (A/Shire Council, Head of Roads & Landscape) to emphasis the need for the repairs on the road at the corner, next to the war memorial in Maryculter. It would be advantageous to have this work completed before the events to commemorate the 100th anniversary of WW1. • No date yet for the opening of the entire AWPR, the delay is thought to be owing to Transport Scotland and/or the contractor group. • No damage was caused to the AWPR by steam engines or the events company on the opening of the AWPR. Faults in the tarmac were seen before the event and concerns were noted. Patches to tarmac must include 15 metres to either side of any repair. This is a 10 week consultation period. The CC will establish a settled view and respond and would ask that any residents wishing to pass comment to the NKRCC planning officer, please do so by 19th of November (email: [email protected]). Members of the public are entitled to and encouraged to make their own response should they have strong views on the subject. HIF made special mention of the eight headings and read the objectives, detailed on P26 with regards to the challenges of housing growth, which is affected by age population and transport links (P49). Action – all CC to review the document before our next meeting. • The LDP2021 sits under the Strategic Development Plan and Piers Blaxter emailed to advise that the draft Main Issues report can be accessed from the 23rd of October. The NKRCC will meet in private to review and discuss the report, however, it is noted that the public consultation period is from mid January when we would urge members of the public to communicate their views to the CC ([email protected]) to be taken into consideration when formulating a response. • Planning Aid For Scotland is happy to attend a meeting to help CC’s understand the planning system. This meeting shall be arranged for end November/beginning December.
