2012/2013 Budget Highlights The FY 2012/13 budget was prepared with a continuing commitment to the provision of quality services to our residents in a fiscally responsible way. The approach that was taken in preparing this budget includes a mix of ongoing and one-time budget adjustments that result in a balanced budget. This strategy sought to sustain core city services as defined by City Council strategic goals, but doing so within available resources. In developing the FY 2012/13 budget, the City focused on five (5) key areas: • Public Safety • Innovations with impact • Technological opportunities to increase productivity and quality of service • Economic investment
