We are honored to have you on our campus for two weekends of competitions, clin- ics, and concerts. The Department of Music at CBC strives to make Jazz Unlimited an educational experience that pro- vides inspiration as well as the opportunity to meet fellow musicians. The level of performance continues to grow and astound all of us each year. I hope you all take the opportu- nity to attend as many performances as you can during your stay with us. It is also my pleasure to welcome to our campus our instrumental weekend guest artist, Jim Pugh, who will be appearing with the Columbia Basin Jazz Or- chestra. Additionally, the CD release concert presented by CBC Vocal Jazz Ensemble, FreeForm is always an enjoy- able and inspiring concert. We hope you will have the chance to pick up one of the CDs by CBC’s FreeForm. Dave Cazier, Collin Wilson, Bruce Walker, Maria Allan and Amy Nielsen have all spent a tremendous amount of energy to organize a festival that is both edu- cational and inspirational.
