All the city's kids are ours and deserve a beautiful building and great location in order to get a great education. They are our future. So a small inconvenience like less parking and more traffic is well worth it. 3/28/2019 Amy Gitlin Support I support Roxbury Prep?s high school project proposed at 361 Belgrade Ave. in Roslindale. The school has gone above and beyond responding to community feedback. By reducing the size of the student body and square footage of the building, they have addressed two of the most common concerns about this project?size and congestion. The location at 361 Belgrade will give these students the facility they deserve with easy transportation access via the Commuter Rail and multiple bus lines. This new school will be an asset to both the students and the community. 3/28/2019 Talya Sokoll Support I support Roxbury Prep?s high school project proposed at 361 Belgrade Ave. in Roslindale. I live right around the corner and I am fully in support of this project. 3/28/2019 Shuntara Baker‐Brown Parent Support My son and all the students, faculty and staff deserve a school, in a wonderful, central location, to be part of the Boston community, cultural and a would make a wonderful addition to the west Roxbury neighborhood. Roxbury prep students are trained to succeed, act accordingly and help in the community. Please help the Roxbury Prep community with their future school. School would be dangerously close to commuter rail stop which experiences fatal train strike of teenage boy in 2008 2. Adjacent West Roxbury Parkway bridge is in disrepair and should be considered before school breaks ground 3. Over abundance of other neighboring multi unit residential construction will potentially gridlock the Belgrade and West Roxbury Parkway area. 4. School?s design will essentially hold students hostage all day due to a lack of school owned recreational property. 5. Reliability of commuter rail is a concern irrespective of the reverse commute proponents espouse. Belleview is a small uncontrolled rail stop and is unsuitable for dramatic upticks in volume. Furthermore insufficient numbers of coach cars in the Needham line plague all weekday trips but particularly morning and evening rush hours. 3/28/2019 Erik Johnson Mr. Support As a neighbor to this project, I support Roxbury Prep?s high school project proposed at 361 Belgrade Ave. in Roslindale. I think it would be good to have this high school, now that it has been made a little smaller footage and with less students. It would be good to have a high school in the neighborhood. That area of Belgrade Ave is in need of new development. As there is a new condo development close by, more housing is not needed. Roxbury Prep staff and architects have listened to neighbors' concerns and made appropriate changes. The location at 361 Belgrade will give these students the facility they deserve with easy transportation access via the Commuter Rail and multiple bus lines. 3/28/2019 Ava Delevante Ms. Support I wholeheartedly support Roxbury Prep?s high school project proposed at 361 Belgrade Ave. in Roslindale.
