He received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Helinski in 1956. Since then, he has revolutionized the field of philosophy of logic, and is recognized as one of the creators of game-theory semantics. He has written over 30 books and contributed to innumerable periodicals. Most recent- ly, he has completed valuable work in the logical analy- sis of modal concepts.
