Through you we have learned: OGB’s new management posted on the OGB website that Access2day Health “has not performed as expected”. How can that be true? Our contract, written by OGB, is roughly based on how many times members used Access2day clinic locations. Doubtless you have received many emails, mailers, etc. from us. Starting 7/1/2019, Access2day Health informed and promoted your program intensively. Naturally COVID-19 limited your visits from March to present. However, without our contracted providers our Access2day members would undoubtedly have suffered for lack of information and care. Hospitals were overwhelmed, citizens were told to stay home, those with symptoms were told to stay home unless they worsened, and instructions from the CDC changed daily. Access2day Health providers were the lifeline to many thousands of our employer/employee members. OGB was no exception. How can Access2day Health not have “performed as expected”? Despite COVID-19, our OGB members still visited our providers many thousands of times. Access2day Health and its providers have always performed as expected. COVID-19 relief requests were solicited by OGB on April 13, 2020. Access2day Health completed the required paperwork but has never received a response, then or now. Our OGB members also tell us that every single OGB benefits vendor was granted a COVID-19 contract waiver except Access2day Health. Why? Why? Why? Why would the new OGB management seek to cancel, mid plan year, a program that offers; • No appointment Primary Care • No member dollars charged for Primary Care • Telehealth provided at no extra charge Some Basic Facts to Consider: • A safe haven during an unforeseen pandemic 1. Employees have saved • A trusted local provider millions of dollars in copays, The employees of the State of Louisiana gave Access2day Health a 92% deductibles, and out of satisfaction survey. You told us that Access2day Health performed as expected pocket expenses. How and then some. are employee savings not Access2day Health and you need an OGB Board or Legislative hearing. Help us considered performance? get one. We all deserve this chance to be heard and get our “whys” answered. 2. 26% of visits were children. Please help us help you! Access2day charges its Sincerely, employers and members no fees for children. How can “totally free” care be considered under Mary N. Smith President performance?
