Bhate 6 From the Desk of the President Dear Well-wishers, In the development of any nation, no doubt the role of the Government in office is very important. However, there are number of persons in the society, whose selfless contributions create new land marks for the society, even more than the Government. Social reformers are one of them, whose contributions bring happiness in the lives of common man. They don’t expect any praise from the society or the Government. They live and die for the cause. The year 2016 reminds all of us of the pioneering contribution of two 'Rishis' of this era, namely Padmabhushan Dr. Banoo Coyajee and Padmavibhushan Shri.Nanaji Deshmukh. 2016 is their birth centenary year. I was fortunate to have worked closely with both these incredible icons. The centenary year is an opportunity to remember and salute the path breaking work done by both of them for the welfare of the society. Dr. Banoo Coyajee through the medical field and Nanaji through his dream project of 'Swawalambi Gram Yojana' brought happiness in the lives of lacs of people of the underprivileged sections of the society. On this solemn occasion, we all bow before them and seek their blessings. We are presenting the annual work report for year 2016. Wardhinee is also working on the integrated development of underprivileged sections of the society. The readers will get an idea of our humble effort to make a difference. Your response on how we could serve better will be deeply appreciated. Wardhinee will continue to work with a missionary zeal to make that much needed difference to the society.
