INTRODUCTION Petrom S.A (Petrom, BSE:SNP), part of the OMV Group, is the largest corporation in Romania, with primary activities focussed in oil and gas exploration and production, refining and marketing. 1.1. Project Outline In 2007, Petrom announced its intentions to move into the Romanian power generation sector by developing an 860MW Gas-Fired Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) at Petrobrazi Refinery (the Refinery), Brazi, Prahova County.
