Dec. 14 at Southern Utah 1:00 pm The Gauchos will now play two of their next three games on the road, both at Pac-12 opponents. On Sun- Dec. 16 at Idaho State 6:00 pm day, they travel to Westwood for a 4:00 p.m. game against UCLA. The Gauchos finished with a total of 256 points and 15 first-place votes, second to defending champion UC Irvine, which also received 15 first-place votes but totaled 258 points. Sow’s total March of 210 rebounds were the second most by a Gaucho freshman. In two-plus seasons as the Gaucho coach, Pasternack has a record of 46-19, but when you include his four years and 54 wins as the head coach at the University of New Orleans (2007-10), he has now hit Mar. 12-14 TBA TBA the century mark for victories. * – Big West Conference | All times are Pacific Time n Pasternack Posts Most Wins in First Two Seasons in School History In 2017-18, UCSB head coach Joe Pasternack set a school record for a first year coach when he guided the Gauchos to a 23-9 record. The 23 wins were easily the most in a coach’s first season in Santa Barbara. Last season’s 22-10 record gives Pasternack a two-year record of 45-19 with the 45 wins being the most by a coach in their first two seasons at the school and, in fact, the most in consecutive seasons ever. Previously, the most victories by a UCSB coach in his first two campaigns was 29 by Bob Williams in 1998-99 and 1999-2000.
