After completing grammar school Tom joined the Royal Navy for seven and a half years and then came into yachting in 1991 where he gained his Masters 3000 license. Tom is married with no children and spends his off time between Mallorca and Germany. Tom has worked on several yachts over the years and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise on board SIREN. This is Tom’s fifth year on board SIREN and he is looking forward to taking you to beautiful places and ensuring a safe and enjoyable trip. First Officer – Dean Green Australian Previous Yachts: Interests: M/Y CORAL ISLAND (70m) Waterports, golf, football and M/Y SQUALO (40m) snowboarding M/Y PERLA BLU (50m) M/Y LATITUDE (54m) Growing up on the doorstep of the Great Barrier Reef in Cairns, Australia, Dean has always had a natural affinity with the sea. Dean is an excellent swimmer having spent many years actively involved in surf lifesaving. An avid watersports enthusiast, he is proficient with all watercrafts and can happily assist you with any water sports requirements. This is Dean’s ninth year working on yachts and his second year with SIREN, in that time he has travelled over 52,000 nautical miles crossing the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans. Destinations include the Caribbean, Central America, South-East Asia and the Seychelles. SIREN Crew Profile Head Chef – Gordon Warne South African Previous Yachts: Interests/Languages: M/Y EOL B (34m) Surfing, snowboarding, diving and travelling Afrikaans Gordon is a young enthusiastic chef with an eye for detail, with 10 years experience in à la carte style restaurants. He has developed many skills in menu planning, costing and kitchen management. He excels in international cuisine, combining his knowledge of classic French, British, Indian and Thai cuisine, to create his own style of cooking, fresh, vibrant and elegant dishes. He likes to get on well with people and handle stressful situations with a positive sense of humour. Gordon is looking forward to his fourth season aboard SIREN and he is looking forward to meeting new guests and experiencing new cultures. In his free time, Gordon stays true to his profession and tries different cuisines and enjoys eating out at restaurants. Sous Chef – Travis Finch South African Previous Yachts: Interests: Joined SIREN June 2015 Wakeboarding and keeping fit Born and raised in Durban, South Africa, Travis has experienced a multitude of cultures. This is Travis’ first year on superyachts but he has been employed as a chef for over six years. He trained in South Africa and worked at the Greenhouse, at Cellars-Hohenort. Travis travelled India for three months and also spent some time in Thailand where he completed a course in northern Thai cuisine. Travis enjoys keeping fit and gets on the wakeboard whenever possible. Travis is thrilled to be part of the SIREN crew. Chief Stewardess – Anna Green German Previous Yachts: Interests/Languages: M/Y PERFECT PERSUASION (45m) Football, travelling and squash M/Y TATOOSH (93m) German and English M/Y LATITUDE (54m) Raised in Grenada, West Indies, Anna spent her childhood by the sea and has found a perfect field to combine her enthusiasm for travel, the ocean and hospitality on luxury yachts. After finishing a hotel management apprenticeship on the German beaches of Timmendorf, Anna turned to the superyacht industry and has since worked on high profile yachts for the last six years. Anna performs her vocation with a passion and is committed to making your stay on board memorable and a thoroughly enjoyable experience. SIREN Crew Profile 2nd Stewardess – Vicky Lentle British Previous yachts: Interests: M/ Y AMEVI (80m) Ballroom dancing, diving and squash Vicky has been on board SIREN for two years and is looking forward to her first season as a 2nd stewardess. She decided that yachting was the perfect career for her as she has a passion for travelling and meeting new people. After studying for a month at UKSA she began her yachting career on an 80m motor yacht which she spent two years working on. Before her yachting career Vicky achieved a 2:1 BSc degree in Psychology. She was also the British Under 21 champion in classical dancing along with her partner in 2005 and 2006. 3rd Stewardess – Olivia Ridings British Previous yachts: Interests: Joined SIREN February 2015 Netball and music This is Olivia’s first year on SIREN, but she has been working on mega yachts since 2013. Olivia has worked in guest service since she was 17 and takes great care and pride in her work and making your time on SIREN unforgettable. Olivia enjoys live music and stays very active and healthy. Stewardess – Rebecca Stoddart British Previous Yachts: Interests: Joined SIREN July 2015 Hiking and reading This is Rebecca’s first season on SIREN and she is excited to be a part of the crew. Rebecca is a trained masseuse and beautician with many years of experience. After working in finance for the last four years, Rebecca opted for a career change and joined the yachting industry. SIREN Crew Profile Stewardess – Ligaya Ricafort Philippian Previous Yachts: Interests: Joined SIREN March 2015 Cooking and movies This is Ligaya’s first year on board SIREN although she has worked a stewardess for the last ten years. Ligaya enjoys life at sea and has travelled to many countries, one of her favourite destinations is the South of France. In her free time Ligaya loves cooking and being with her family and loves watching a great movie. Stewardess – Miriam Schumacher New Zealand Previous Yachts: Interests: Joined SIREN June 2015 Rowing and being outdoors Miriam hails from Taranaki and spent many childhood years at the beach and on the mountains. Miriam studied law and subsequently worked in medical law for a few years. At University she won a gold medal in rowing and she uses any opportunity to get outdoors! Miriam looks forward to making your stay a memorable one. 2nd Officer – Ryan Collins British Previous Yachts: Interests: M/Y PRINCESS TOO (48m) All sports Ryan is originally from Sheffield, where he used to fly small planes when he was younger. He has been working on boats for eight years and joined the superyacht industry five years ago, four of which were spent on the same yacht. Ryan is working towards his Masters’ ticket and until then is looking forward to travelling around the world, Sweden being one of his favourite destinations on a yacht. In his free time he enjoys any sport on a board, follows most sports and is a big Liverpool and Lewis Hamilton supporter! SIREN Crew Profile Chief Engineer – Martin Rosser (Rotational) British Previous Yachts: Interests: M/Y TATOOSH (93m) Golf , watersports and motor racing M/Y ALAMSHAR (50m) M/Y SPUTNIK (60m) Martin is married and has a 12 year-old son called Alexander who has a black belt in Taekwondo. He has spent over 23 years in the Merchant Navy, and the past eight years in the superyacht industry. When Martin is not on board he likes to spend his time surfing, playing golf, and spending time with his son fishing on their boat. Martin is also a motor sport fanatic and has driven racing cars on F1 tracks. Chief Engineer – Michael Story (Rotational) British Previous Yachts: Interests: M/Y COMMITMENT (40m) Sailing and hiking M/Y INDIAN PRINCESS (55m) M/Y LADY ANN MAGEE (50m) M/Y BLUE MOON (60m) M/Y SLIPSTREAM (60m) M/Y XANADU (60m ) Michael has nearly thirty years experience as a professional sea-going engineer. He joined the Merchant Navy in 1980 as an Engineer Cadet where he spent a total of four years at college and at sea. After graduating, Michael sailed as a “Fourth”, and eventually progressed up to Chief Engineer. On his travels he has visited virtually all corners of the globe, having passed through both the Suez and Panama Canals on a regular basis and has been round the Cape of Good Hope on a number of occasions. Michael eventually left these ‘deep sea’ boats in 2003 to join the world of super-yachting. One of his great passions is walking, and he recently made a trip to Nepal with friends to climb a 6,500m (21,500ft) peak. 2nd Engineer – Paul Rodriguez (Rotational) British Previous Yachts: Interests: M/Y SIRIUS (30m) Aeronautics, football, motocross and M/Y LOTUS (37.5m) climbing M/Y STELLA FIERA (35m) M/Y STELLA (42m) M/Y HELAITAN (26m) M/Y AWESOME (40m) Paul Rodrigues hails from Chester in the north west of England. His extensive engineering background has seen him delve into various disciplines including Formula 1 racing, prestige car maintenance and aeronautics. Having previously spent six years as a aeronautical engineer with Airbus UK, Paul chose to pursue a more adventurous career whilst maintaining the engineering practices and was drawn into the yachting industry. He has served six and a half years in the industry. Paul enjoys travelling and experiencing different walks of life. He teaches and participates in many sports including football, motocross and climbing. He has an adventurous spirit and loves a challenge. SIREN Crew Profile 2nd Engineer – Matthias Kunert (Rotational) German Previous Yachts: Interests/Languages: M/Y WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH (42.4m) IT and automotive German and English Matthias was born and raised in southern Germany near Munich, where the traditional dress is the lederhosen and a dirndl for the girls.
