Vol. MMXXI No. 121 PAGE 2 SPRING 2021 Letter from the Executive Director Dear MBOA Members, We are hopefully headed over to the other side of the Covid mountain and toward “normalcy”- whatever that will mean for all of us living in different parts of the U.S. and Canada! This Spring 2021 LOG is filled with a great variety of articles that I know will peak your interest. Member David Hughes from Ontario, Canada posted his winter project on Facebook (reprinted page 15). New member Kyle Dufur becomes acquainted with the history of his new acquisition - a 1940 38’ twin cabin- by requesting archival information from Antique Boat Museum (articles on pages 9 and 16). Member Kent Baker shares his story, research and archival brochure reprints of one of the last surviving 31’ In This Issue Matthews Playboats (pages 10-13). And who knew that a Matthews 41’ Sedan was featured in a popular TV show on NBC in the 1950’s?!
