It gives me an even greater honor to announce that we will be giving the Franklin County, Tennessee Civil War Trails Brochure a formal launch on Thursday, 16 June 2011 beginning at 1:00 PM (CT), SHARP! The site of the lunch will be the Franklin County Courthouse in beautiful Winchester, Tennessee. The exact location of this undertaking will be between the Attorney Peter Turney Secession Speech Marker and the courthouse, which is on the left off Dinah Shore Boulevard. The key note speaker for the launch will be the Tennessee Commissioner of Tourism, Mrs. Susan Whitaker. White’s Artillery Battery, under the supervision of Mr. Charles Callaway and his artillery crew will prepare his cannons for firing by Commissioner Whitaker to “kick off” this Civil War Trails Brochure launch for Franklin County. Other invited guests include, US Congressman Scott DesJarlais, TN State Senator Eric Stewart, TN Representative Judd Matheny, Franklin County Mayor Richard Stewart, Winchester Mayor Terry Harrell, Franklin County Chamber of Commerce President Pam Peck, Franklin County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Judy Taylor and the city Mayors of Cowan, Decherd, Estill Springs, and Huntland, Tennessee.
