It will cost around DKK 200 (USD 32) from Kastrup-Copenhagen Airport. And remember: "Thank you" is "Tak" in Danish! By train: At the airport, ask for a three-zone train ticket (it will cost DKK 34, which is USD 6). Take the Metro to Nørreport Station and change to the “S-tog” Train. Get on one of the three north-bound “S-tog” trains: A (Farum), B (Hillerød), or C (Klampenborg). Get off at Nordhavn Station , approximately 5-8 minutes from Nørreport Station. The walking distance from the station to UN City is approximately 900m (as indicated by the red line Copenhagen on the above area map). The area indicated by the blue line is where the pedestrian underpass will be located in spring 2014. Welcome to UN City Arriving at our Office The building (and the reception) is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You will be asked to show identification at the security gate, so please be sure to bring your passport or government-issued ID . Once inside, the receptionist will issue you a visitor sticker, which we will ask you to wear for the duration of your visit. The receptionist will contact your focal point, who will then come and meet you at the reception. UN policy requires visitors to be accompanied by UN staff when visiting the UN City . Office Smoking Policy The UN City in Copenhagen is a non-smoking zone. A designated smoking area is available on the north side of the buildings, which we can direct you to. Smoking is prohibited in all other areas. Coffee/Tea Coffee breaks will be included in the workshop. However, if you would like additional coffee or tea, you can find coffee machines in the common area on each floor, as well as on the main floor next to the canteen. For the cost of 8 DKK (exact change only!), you can get a coffee, cappuccino, or latte. Hot water is free, but you will need to buy a tea bag at the canteen. Breakfast and Lunch There is a canteen on the main floor of the building, which serves breakfast between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., and lunch between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Lunch includes a hot buffet (including vegetarian choices), salad bar, sandwiches, soup, and are available for a cost of around 40DKK. In the summer, you can enjoy your lunch on our first-floor terrace. Cash, as well as major credit cards, are accepted as payment at the canteen. Washrooms Bathrooms at UN city are clearly marked on each floor, and are “unisex”.
