PRESS RELEASE 5801 Sundale Ave • Bakersfield, CA 93309 • 661.827.3100 • kernhigh.org Wednesday, September 2, 2020 KHSD Meal Distribution Update FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Bakersfield, CA Following the recent extension of a U.S. Department of Agriculture meal waiver, the Kern High School District is providing free meals to all children ages 2 to 18 beginning on Friday, September 4. All 18 comprehensive high schools and Nueva Continuation High School will hold drive-through meal distributions Monday through Friday, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Each child will receive a grab and go bag consisting of multiple meals. Students need to be present to receive meals.
