NIPPERT STADIUM UC’S HOME SINCE: 1902 | STADIUM BUILT: 1915 | RE-OPENING: 2015 WELCOME HOME he University of Cincinnati department of athletics started the $86-million Nippert Stadium Renovation & Expansion Project in the winter of 2013. The privately funded construction is on schedule to be completed in August of 2015. Athletics is working in conjunction with the UC Office of Planning, Design and Construction, Heery International, the architect of record, TArchitecture Research Office (ARO), the design architect and Turner Construction Company, the construction manager.
