Julia Hurlow DMin Personal summary Within the realm of human development, it is important for college students to connect identity, purpose, and placement to where they can be most effective in their lives as disciples of the triune God. There are numerous resources available to help with this process, but it is vital for people to come alongside to help identify the areas where necessary support is at their fingertips. I believe that an educator’s interaction with students will help to create a lasting connection throughout their college experience as well as life beyond the years within the university setting. Throughout my years of service in the local church and higher education, I have seen the value for women and men to have strong communal relationships. This creates opportunities interacting with other as a way of diversifying their understanding of the world. Strong relationships are a vital aspect of walking alongside other people. I believe that enacting discipleship through close proximity is a key component to modeling a life of integrating wholeness as we collectively work together to bring the kingdom of heaven to earth.
